Why Catholic Hospice

First and foremost, it’s important to realize that you do have a choice when it comes to who provides your end of life care.  Although many programs use the word hospice in their name, they don’t all follow the same philosophy.  We recommend that you interview a program prior to being placed under their care.

Who pays for Hospice Care
Catholic Hospice is a 501 (c) (3) registered nonprofit organization.  As a Medicare certified hospice program, we accept payment through insurance plans.  We work closely with all insurance companies to ensure coverage for all patients.  “Out of network” benefits are explored upon request.  Those without health insurance are not turned away when an appropriate referral is made.

When is it time for Hospice Care
When possible, hospice should be presented early on in the disease progression to allow the patient and loved ones to fully benefit from the care team.
